GenInterlock was founded by a second-generation licensed electrician with over three decades of hands-on experience - and that background shapes everything: how our products are designed, how compatibility is tested, and how we support our customers. Our core product is the generator interlock kit - a mechanical device that attaches to your existing breaker panel and physically prevents the main breaker and generator breaker from being on at the same time. This prevents back-feed onto utility lines, protects workers, and complies with NEC 702 standards at a significantly lower cost compared to a full transfer switch.
We carry interlock kits compatible with most major electrical panel brands - including Siemens, Square D, Eaton, Cutler Hammer, GE, Murray, Leviton, and more. Additionally, we offer all the components you'll need for a complete installation: power inlets, circuit breaker retainers, adapters, and cords. No. The interlock kit installs directly on your existing breaker panel - no separate panel is needed.
No. Once the interlock kit is installed, your power usage can remain the same. When running on generator power, all circuits in your breaker panel remain active - you are only limited by the size of your generator.
