What is Geninterlock.com?

GenInterlock.com is an internet based company which provides an economical and dependable way to meet your electrical needs.

Developed by a second generation licensed electrician with over 25 years of experience, our generator interlock kit product line offers a wide assortment of clips—both Listed and non-Listed—for your immediate use with a variety of electrical panels.

The team at GenInterlock.com strives to provide the best product, at a reasonable price, for your use year round and especially in preparation for severe weather conditions.

What do I need to know before ordering a Geninterlock.com product?

Before ordering a GenInterlock.com product we encourage you to consult with your local township or municipality regarding specific electrical regulations or requirements to ensure compliance with all safety codes.

Installation instructions for our manufactured clips can be found in the item's description. All Listed items include the manufacturer's instructions.

GenInterlock.com is NOT responsible for misuse or improper installation of any Generator Interlock Kit. ALL electrical equipment should be installed and maintained by qualified, licensed personnel. Any consequences arising from improper use is the responsibility of the user/homeowner.

Do I need a separate breaker panel to use an interlock kit?

No, the interlock kit goes on your existing breaker panel.

Will using an interlock kit affect the power levels in my home?

No, once the interlock kit is installed, your power usage can remain the same. When using generator power, all of the circuits in your breaker panel remain active; you are only limited by the size of the generator.

How do I install the interlock kit?

Installation instructions can be found on the individual product pages directly below the name and description of the interlock kit for each specific brand of breaker panel. Instructions are in Adobe Acrobat PDF format; the software to open this PDF file is most likely already on your computer. If you need to download the Acrobat software, click here.

Is there a product warranty?

All GenInterlock.com products are manufactured in the US and have a two-year warranty (from the date of purchase) against any manufacturer's defects.

How is my payment processed?

At this time, all orders purchased through the GenInterlock.com website or eBay Store are processed through PayPal.

If you have a problem processing your order or would like to do so over the phone, please notify us via email sales@geniterlock.com or call 732-339-4191. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION IN THE EMAIL OR PHONE MESSAGE.

How is my order shipped?

All GenInterlock.com orders are shipped FREE via USPS First Class Mail or Parcel Post (in the United States only)

USPS Priority Mail or Overnight Service are available for an additional surcharge.

The order cut-off time for Priority or Overnight Service is 12pm NOON Eastern. Orders placed after that time will be processed the next business day.

Note: Business days/hours are Monday-Friday 8AM - 4PM Eastern (excluding holidays).

What are my shipping charges?

Your total shipping charges are based on the shipping method selected and any applicable surcharges.

Shipping is included for orders delivered via USPS First Class Mail or Parcel Post.

Oversize or heavy packages as well as deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii will be subject to additional shipping charges.

Will there be sales tax on my order?

Sales tax will be added to orders shipped to residents in New Jersey.

How may I track my order?

Once your GenInterlock.com order has been shipped, you'll receive an e-mail which includes a link enabling you to track your order.

Orders processed via PayPal may be tracked through your PayPal account.

For shipments via USPS, visit USPS.com or call 1-800-275-8777 and simply provide your tracking number.

Orders totaling $100 or more will require a signature confirmation to verify delivery.

Note: Tracking is not available for USPS APO/FPO deliveries.

May I cancel or change my order?

If you need to delete an item, reduce a quantity or cancel your GenInterlock.com order, please act promptly and send an email to sales@geninterlock.com.

We cannot change your ship-to address, so please double-check your information before placing an order.

We are also unable to change the payment method on your order once it is submitted.

Unfortunately, we cannot add items, or increase the quantity of items, on an order that has already been submitted. If you would like to add new items, or increase the quantity of the items you've already purchased, please place a new order.

May I return my order or item(s)? (Return Policy)

GenInterlock.com requires that before returning/exchanging an item, a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number must be obtained from sales@geninterlock.com. This must occur within 30 days of purchase to begin the return/exchange process and qualify for a refund/exchange. If not, the refund/exchange will be declined.

Upon your receipt of the RMA, the item must be received by GenInterlock.com within 14 days. Any item received after that period will not be eligible for a refund/exchange. All refunds will be based on the initial form of payment.

All returns and exchanges must be new, in their original packaging and contain all accessories. Modified, altered or special order items cannot be returned or exchanged nor will refunds be issued.

GenInterlock.com will attempt to process all eligible returns/exchanges but reserves the right to limit or decline returns/exchanges.

All returns are subject to a 10% handling and restocking fee and must be sent prepaid.

Please note that Priority or Overnight shipping charges cannot be reimbursed.

Note: We do not have a storefront so picking up or returning your GenInterlock order or item in person is not possible.

When will my return be processed?

Your return will be handled promptly however, please be aware that mailing and processing time(s) may vary.

All returns will be credited to the account used for your purchase and, in most cases, should appear on your account within a week. If the return credit was processed to your bank card it can take up to 30 business days for the credit to appear from your bank. Credit time frames vary based on bank processing times so, you may wish to contact your bank.

What if my order is damaged?

We apologize for any inconvenience resulting from a damaged GenInterlock.com order.

Please know that all items are packed securely and we suggest that you check with your letter carrier, local post office or USPS.com (or the overnight service) regarding the situation.

If we can be of assistance, please e-mail sales@geninterlock.com and include your name, address, phone number, order number, a description of the damage as well as a photo.

What if my order is incorrect?

We apologize for any inconvenience resulting from an incorrect GenInterlock.com order.

If you received items you did not order or if items are missing from your order, please e-mail sales@geninterlock.com and include your name, address, phone number, order number and information about the items that are not yours or items that may be missing from your GenInterlock.com order.

What if I have a technical question or issue?

Any questions or concerns regarding a GenInterlock.com product should be addressed in an email to sales@geninterlock.com.

For example:

The GenInterlock.com clip you ordered doesn't match the panel.
Simply send an email with details and a photo.

The GenInterlock.com clip was installed but it's not functioning.
PLEASE DO NOT MODIFY THE CLIP IN ANY WAY. Again, send an email with details and a photo.
